- 6-8 slices of bread
- 1 cup non dairy milk
- 1 tbsp ground flax or chia seeds
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- Optional: 1 tbsp vegan butter for frying
In a bowl wide enough to fit a piece of bread, add the non dairy milk, vanilla, sugar, flax or chia seeds, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
Heat 1 tbsp of butter or oil in a pan on medium heat. Dip the bread into the batter one slice at a time, coating both sides.
Cook the slices until golden brown, about 4 minutes each side. Serve hot with butter, maple syrup, or fresh fruit.
